Firebringer! Thy brightest and baneful light
Along with the fall into the Lake of Fire
That ark was devoured in poisonous flames
And no one returns from the land of death!
Out of the firmament, Primal Chaos
In the root of thousand-evil, the perished cosmic lie
The Shadowless Shadow, the Avenger of the Liberator
Prevail through the endless war, and break the chains of comic laws
Serpents that intertwine
the black sun
In the fathomless abyss
they dwell
Marked by death
the hallowed slain by sinister strength
Descending world
be the sign of thy fall
Bringer of the Forbidden Light
Cast down thy Sulphur inquisition
Under the name of unceasing chaos
Let the oceans of blood painted in dark!
A storm comes as the waves in a rage
In this vast where a gloomy sky covers an ocean black
A plague haunts that everything no longer shines
In the boundless where the moon shadows a broken sun
Arise! The unlimited chaos
Awake! The eleven Angels
Marked by death
The hallowed ones were slain
Descending world
be the sign of thy fall
Within the acausal Dark Divine
The truth’s revealed by the All-seeing Eye!
Descending world
be the sign of thy fall
But beyond the false light
The Firebringer rises!

Exquisite harmonies resonate profoundly! Such a resounding melody, finely woven. The shadows intricately entwine with the mellifluous riffs, crafting a sublime symphony of darkness and bliss. jayakody

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli

Very late to the party, but for several years I've found melodic black metal all too similar and all albums sounding like Dissection, etc... HOWEVER, not only I am back into it but UADA is still a layer of complexity above the main baseline and this is an old album worth having, that's a basic milestone in UADA's discography and I felt it needed to be part of my BC collection. sachavonkarl74
